Emergency First Aid CPR-C & AED (CSA Basic)

This course meets the CSA standards for Basic First Aid.

Emergency First Aid Level C is for individuals requiring basic information on First Aid and CPR for their workplace, school, or personal interest.

Upon completion, participants receive a certificate valid for 3 years.

  • Recognizing a mental health emergency
  • CPR & AED for adults, children, and Infants
  • Bleeding and burn management.
  • Medical emergencies
    Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED (CSA Intermediate)
    This course exceeds CSA requirements for Intermediate First Aid courses in Canada.
    This course meets Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Workplace First Aid (WFA) standards but is not recognized by CNESST in the province of Québec. Standard First Aid Level C is for individuals requiring comprehensive information on First Aid and CPR for their workplace, school, or personal interest.
    Upon completion, participants receive a certificate valid for 3 years.

  • Using AEDs
  • Choking and breathing emergencies
  • Mental health first aid
  • Opioid overdose awareness
  • Bleeding and burn management.
  • Bone and joint injuries
  • Environmental emergencies

Mental Health and Wellness for the Workplace

This course was developed with assistance from the TEMA Foundation to help all workers in all work environments to better recognize when a colleague is experiencing a mental health injury.

This one-day course helps participants better recognize the signs of possible mental health injuries and how/where to get help.

  • How to identify when a co-worker is in distress relating to a mental health injury
  • How to initiate a conversation with a co-worker about the status of their mental health
  • Develop an understanding about where someone is on the SJA Mental Health and Wellness continuum.
  • A step-by-step process to build confidence and skill to approach someone in distress.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations or transfers must be requested prior to five business days of the start of course. Students failing to cancel or reschedule prior to five business days of the course date, will be charged a $25 (plus tax) transfer/cancellation fee. In the event that you (student/group) are unable to attend and have not provided any notice, no refund will be given as per our no show, no refund policy.
